2021 – Year In Review | Historic Route 20

2021 proved to be a great year for Historic Route 20.

Iowa
In January we received our first Historic Route designation in the state of Iowa. This was a great achievement! The Iowa route is the longest tourism route in the state at 333 miles between Dubuque and Sioux City. In July, the organization was hosted by many communities to unveil the new designation. Towns above from top-down: Winthrop, Ackley, Iowa Falls and Alden.
Scoot America!

We had the pleasure to meet Alex Simon, a gentleman from Las Vegas who wanted to ride an electric scooter across America all on Historic Route 20. His purpose was to promote micro-mobility and electric vehicle alternatives. We accompanied Alex on the 30 day journey, leaving Boston on April 24 and reaching Newport on May 22! It was the trip of a lifetime for both of us! Photo: Alex riding on Mesa Falls Scenic Byway near Island Park, Idaho. www.zerotoepic.com
